Do Your Bit - Fancy Leading a Walk or Organising Some Other Stuff?

Walk Leaders Always Wanted
We don't want to persuade people to do things they don't really want to, but if you DO fancy leading a bunch of people over a favourite walk, be it local to you, or a favourite hill walk in the Peaks or the Dales, etc, then that would be great - ask Richard or Mark. If we get 5 people leading 1 walk each, and 5 leading 2 walks each, just for fun, then that gives us more than 1 interesting walk a month for everyone for little effort. You can limit numbers by email or just see who turns up on the day. We have a YHA group card so you can use this to organise YHA accommodation for trips away.

Other Things You Can Do if You Fancy
If you have your own hiking agenda - training walks, or a particular area, then you can go as far as having your own diary on the website, or integrate things into the main diary.

Charity Walks
If you represent a charity and you are promoting responsibly organised walking events with your own insurance cover, then we'd be delighted to include them on the walks diary. Please keep the descriptions to no more than 5 lines, mainly including contact details and a web-address, with only a very brief summary of the event. We're not putting up adverts, just the basic information.

Socials
Although we're concentrating on the hiking, you're welcome to put your own social ideas on the message board. If you're planning a weekend away for the walking then of course this can go on the walks diary.
