Charity Walks:
Marie Curie - WALK TEN fundraising event that is taking place on August 29th at Bolton Abbey, Skipton.
The WALK TEN event is a 10k walk around the beautiful estate of Bolton Abbey, which will be exclusively for Marie Curie Cancer Care use on the evening and commences around teatime, finishing at 10pm to mark the beginning of a Marie Curie Nursing shift. Anyone is welcome, and walkers can feel free to bring along their dogs as well. The evening begins with a picnic in the park atmosphere whilst enjoying live music and entertainment. After a 10k walk, a candlelit celebration will take place at 10pm to mark the start of a Marie Curie Cancer Care nurse shift with other ramblers and Marie Curie nurses!
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free home nursing care for terminally ill patients whilst giving much needed advice and support for family members and friends. Each year the demand for our services increase, resulting in families that we are unable to help. Every hour of a nurse’s time costs the charity £20 or £180 for an entire shift, so as you can see, your support would be extremely valuable to us!

Even
more challenging than the Three Peaks Challenge! Summiting the 15

three distinct ranges of hills; the Snowdon Massif, the Glyders and
the Carneddau in only two days - a challenge that's not for the faint
hearted!
