Luddenden Valley and Midgeley moor, 9 miles. Starting and finishing at the cat 'ith Well Pub, Saltonstall situated in a beautiful setting and serving real ale!!
A great walk, quite long so bring plenty of food, ascending onto Midgeley Moor - open moorland with great views then back round the beautiful Luddenden valley to finish back at pub.
Meeting Place and Time: Cat 'ith Well Pub, Saltonstall, put HX2 7TR into your online map or satnav, it's near there. 11:00am start. Public Transport: get the 09:54am train from Leeds, or 10:17am from Bradford Interchange, arrive Halifax station 10:29. We will be arranging lifts at 10:35am from Halifax station to the walk so email hikers@hotmail.co.uk to tell us you're coming.

Details to be confirmed. Mark has said he won't be including any long very steep paths like the Whernside walk. But this will still be a long walk for relatively fit experienced walkers.

Burnsall to Grimwith Reservoir – Sarah, email via hikers@hotmail.co.uk
8-10 mile circular walk from Burnsall to Grimwith Reservoir. Leaving the river quite early we go up onto the moors towards the reservoir. Depending on the time we can add an extra 1½ miles to go around the reservoir before we descend back down to the river Wharfe. Following the river for a while back into Burnsall. Lovely on a nice spring day.
Meeting Place and Time: Burnsall Village Green Bus Stop – 11:30. the '800' bus arrives here from Leeds at 11:15 so we wait for this bus if it is late. (We're waiting until April as this is when the summer bus service starts to Burnsall from Leeds). Leaves Leeds Bus Station 10am. Paid to park in Burnsall, probably £3 or something, try car sharing via the message board. Email Sarah to get her mobile for contact incase any oif us are delayed etc. The return bus from burnsall is at 17:35 and there are decent pubs selling real ale there if you have to wait... who would have thought....

MacMillan Cancer Trust: Humber Bridge Walk - Sunday 16 May 2010 at 11am
Take steps for people living with cancer. Join us for a stunning 2.5 mile walk round trip across the Humber Bridge in Hessle. The Humber Bridge sits just outside Hull City Centre, spanning the Humber Estuary.

MacMillan Cancer Support: Are you up for a Challenge?! Saturday 26 June 2010
Macmillan Cancer Support are calling all challenge seekers to join them on Saturday June 26 for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Walkers will climb a total of 2,153 metres covering 23.5 miles up Pen-Y-Ghent followed by Whernside and Finishing with the unforgiving Ingleborough, this is definitely not for the faint hearted!
